At Brunswick Darkroom, we are committed to providing a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all members, visitors, and staff.
We maintain our facilities to a high standard and have procedures in place to support safe and responsible use of our darkroom at all times.
Our Health and Safety Measures
Chemical Safety:
All photographic chemicals provided for member use are pre-diluted into safe working solutions by staff to minimise risk.
Members are not required to mix stock chemicals.
Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for all chemicals are available on-site for reference.
Protective Equipment:
Aprons, nitrile gloves, and safety glasses are provided for all members.
PPE must be worn when handling any chemicals or participating in wet processes.

Members must only operate equipment for which they have received appropriate training.
Emergency Preparedness:
A workplace-certified First Aid Kit and Defibrillator (AED) are available on site.
Fire safety equipment, including a Fire Extinguisher and Fire Blanket, is accessible within the facility.
Emergency instructions are clearly posted for quick access.
